What Truly Remains Concealed Behind Sealed Entrances of Masterson’s Bar and Pub ?

Masterson’s Pub , nestled in the bustling area of Moonee Ponds , promotes itself as a chic “hipster” locale , but my most recent experience at this establishment turned into one of the worst experiences of my life . While the bar may appear inviting from the outside , what I encountered behind its entrance was disgraceful and unfit for any venue.

Cleanliness Issues : Squalid and Disregarded
From the moment I stepped inside , it was apparent that hygiene was not a priority at this establishment . The floors were sticky , and a overpowering stench of old alcohol and dirty bathrooms filled the entire pub. Reeking of a mixture of ammonia , a rotting odor and sickness . The counter , which should be the main attraction of any pub, was littered with unwashed glassware and litter that looked like it had been ignored for a long time . The bathroom was in even worse condition —overflowing , with a broken handle and surfaces marked in what I can only assume was human excrement .

It wasn’t just a single bad experience either. Going through other patrons’ reviews and talking to people around , it seems that the quality of upkeep (or lack thereof) at Masterson’s is a persistent problem . Many guests have reported observing cockroaches darting across the serving surface and traces of mice in the bar and house area . For a business that serves drinks , these issues are utterly disgraceful and raise serious concerns about the safety of the food and drinks .

However, as dreadful as the state of the venue was, what truly made my experience at this place one I wish I could erase —was the behavior of its managers.
